QR Code Quality Test Tool
Test your QR code's scannability before printing or distributing. Our quality analyzer checks contrast, data density, error correction, quiet zone, and more to ensure your QR code scans reliably in real-world conditions.
What We Check
- Contrast ratio -- WCAG-level contrast between modules and background
- Data density -- Whether the QR code has too much data for its size
- Error correction -- Whether the level is appropriate for the use case
- Quiet zone -- Sufficient white border for reliable scanning
- Device simulation -- Scan reliability across different phone cameras
Methodology
Our quality test follows the ISO/IEC 18004:2015 standard for QR code symbol quality assessment. Contrast is evaluated against WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines (minimum 4.5:1 ratio). Data density analysis considers the relationship between encoded data size, error correction level, and the QR version selected. Quiet zone validation checks for the standard 4-module border required by the specification. All analysis is performed locally in your browser — no images are uploaded to our servers.
